Everyone has been chomping at the bit for 2025 Dance Camp deets and: it’s about that time.

Last year was such a shock to our hearts in like a deep way. It was historically unforgettable and this year we pack our duffle bags to feel that thrill again: pulling up to camp, throwing yourself into a situation that is away from home, not knowing everyone, pausing on the day-to-day routines to make new friends. Just like how childhood camp felt…but it’s different tho as adults because we have built our OWN nests of safety but it’s very crucial to break free and fall out of the grown up nest and into an open armed camp full of people on the same page in hopes of connecting with their inner child and making memories that will def last forever.

This year’s theme is DANCE TV CAMP…. from the literal first 80’s dance movie that inspired them all….Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. Some of you are like huh what is that movie? EXACTLYYYY. It’s insane that we don’t know this movie just as much as we know the others. It has truly everything we can want (aka its all our fav dance movies combined). AND IT’S THE OG. It’s Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt as Catholic school best friends(!!!???) who are obsessed with DANCE TV. And the show is holding auditions to find new dancers!! They gotta go! And a young Shannon Doherty?!? Pretty much every scene mentions the passion of dance and the goal is to: have fun. And also FYI there is a remake being made and a musical — so let’s get on top of this now!

Calling it ‘Dance TV’ Camp since we all just say dance camp anyways…but the theme this year is all the dream of being on this incredible tv show… so it’s actually perfect. 

This year instead of the classic sweatshirt…we will be getting school uniforms to wear! And a Dance TV Camp patch that we will sew onto it, just like Sarah Jessica Parker’s!!!!

And obvs we will all lean into the 80’s leotards world too. *immediately searches depop*
